“Fíorú means ‘fulfillment’ in Irish.”
I worked with Rachael, the brains behind the business, to develop and execute her visual assets and marketings tools from the ground up. Based on her ideas and my strong grasp of creative communication and creating a consistent brand identity, these are what we came up with.
Fíorú is a small female lead startup based in Donegal, which harnesses concepts from yoga to benefit contemporary dancers. Utilising yogic philosophy and practices, the aim of Fíorú is to facilitate physical recovery and to empower people to believe in themselves.
In the next phase of establishing their business, they plan to create online courses, which I will be the lead creative on: creating further motion graphics, editing footage for the courses, and creating original graphics for social share and promotion. We are also collaborating on creating a custom domain and website for her new business.
Logo
The logo was created to marry the two worlds of traditional and modern. Fíorú was set up to bring the traditional art of Irish Dance with the modern practise of Yoga.
Colour Palette
Fíorú’s colour palette is light and playful. As the visual language for Fíorú developed I felt a light and pastel colour palette was best as it echoes the feeling Rachael wanted to incorporate into the brand.
Social Media Images
For a small start up like Fíorú, social media outreach is a crucial component for growth so a major part of my work for the brand has been, and will continue to be, creating original content for those platforms, such as the images above.
The style of these images was two fold. The subject matter shows a woman in a yoga pose, which was provided to me in raw files by the Fíorú team. I was tasked with making them more visually interesting and aesthetically focused. With that in mind, I wanted to bring colour and movement to the otherwise stationary files. It was also important to incorporate their logo and some of their marketing messaging in order for these social posts to support increased brand recognition.
